Cháu xin vào trường Houston community college với kế hoạc học tập là : 1 năm học English, 2 năm học lấy bằng Associate, 2 năm nữa chuyển lên đại học ngành Business Management.
Cháu tốt nghiệp năm 2010, rồi vào học đại học Văn Lang ngành Kiến trúc. Nhưng học được 1 học kỳ cháu thấy trường không phù hợp nên thi lại vào trường Đh kiến trúc tphcm và bị out tiếp. Năm 2012 cháu cũng thi lần nữa và rớt. Rồi cháu có dự định đi du học Mỹ.Và bắt đầu học anh văn để chuẩn bị cho phỏng vấn visa.
Bảng điểm 3 năm 10,11,12 của cháu là 7.2, 6.9, 7.
Cháu có anh họ và cô bên Texas và sẽ là người nuôi cháu ăn học bên này.
Cháu nhờ dịch vụ làm hô sơ du học, do sổ tiết kiệm nhà cháu chỉ có $18000 usd. Nên phải nhờ dịch vụ làm 1 sổ khác 40000 usd để xin trường. Và họ làm cho hợp đồng bảo trợ tài chính.
Mẹ cháu kinh doanh giày dép & mũ nón, nhưng trong giấy đăng ký kinh doanh khai vốn chỉ có 5 triệu (2006) nhưng thực chất bây giờ là 200 triệu. Vậy nên dịch vụ mới bảo làm hợp đồng bảo trợ tài chính đó chú ( có nghĩa là họ cho mình mượn tài sản bỏ ngân hàng, ngân hàng chứng nhận nhà cháu có tài sản thế chấp ngân hàng để có tiền đi du học, và trong hợp đồng đó còn cam kết sẽ thanh toán khi cháu đi du học về).
Ba cháu kinh doanh ủi đất tư nhân, do nhà cháu có 1 chiếc xe ủi , mà công việc của ba thì hông có đang ký kinh doanh.

Yes, I have lived away from my parents since I went to HCM city to study.

My brother don’t study abroad like me becoz He is still a child. He is in primary school.
- Why do you choose US to study, not any other countries?
First, because my family can support me in studying in U.S. I have many chances to choose where to study so I wanna get experience in the international environtment
Second,I know US has developed economy; the advanced education and teaching methods; many chances for practicing, approaching the reality and international qualification.U.S has a cultural and ethnic diversity,so I can find out different cultures in the same country. US is my best choice.
- Why don’t you continue to study in Vietnam?
Studying abroad is my dream .My family and I myself want to give me a chance to approach(tiếp cận) knowledge of developed countries.I decided to study abroad to invest in my future career. I want to have advanced knowledge of business to become a good manager with an international Degree. I think studying abroad will give me more successful career.
- Why don’t you choose another school to study?
When I plan to study abroad, I often search the information on the internet, by entering websites, forums about study abroad, I know some famous schools such as Richland community college in Dallas, Texas; Lone star college, Houston, Texas; San Jose state university in san Jose, California; Houston community college….Finally, I choose HCC because of its prestige and quality, suitable tuition fee học phí phù hợp This school will also master me practical skills.
- Tell me something about your school?
Houston community college [system] was established in 1976. The School has had more than 70 fields of work in 6 area colleges: Central College, Northeast college, Northwest college, Southwest college, Southeast College and Coleman college.
- Why don’t you choose university?
For international students coming to The US at the first time, cultural shock and difficulty in communicating in English are inevitable.The tuition fee is suitable.The scale of the class is pretty small.After finishing 2 years in college, students can transition into 4-year universities.
- What is your study plan in the U.S?
I will study English about 1 year and then major in Business Management for 2 years to get Associate degree. After that, I will transition to University of Houston to pursue this major for more 2 years to get Bachelor’s degree.
- Why don’t you study English in Vn to save your money?
I think learning English in a English speaking country will make the best opportunities and conditions so that I enhance my skills for a short time and acquire the main course well.
- What ‘s your father’s/mother’s job?
My father own and operate Earth Moving Machine (hiệu gì ví dụ: Model Hitachi EX175 số càng lớn càng mắc tiền). He is extremely busy on dry season, but on the monsoon season he helps my mother.
. My mother is doing wholesale and retail footwear and headwear.
- How can your parents pay for your study?/ How can ur family pay for your tuition in the US while they are in Viet Nam?
When coming to the US, I will ask the school to instruct me to open a student account. And my parents will transfer money to my student account
- Do your parents have a saving book/ banking account? How much?
My parents have 2 saving books. One account has 800 milions dongs and the other has 18 thousand dollars.
- How can you prove that you will return VietNam?
I do not want to live alone in the US.I have no relatives there.No one likes to be lonely.My father is here,my mother is here.So I want to come back to my family and take care of them
- What do you want to become after graduation? Who do you envision what/who you are 5 years from now?
I want to become a good manager.

- Why din’t you take TOEFL test?
I communicated with HCC advisor, and was informed that even with TOEFL, all new students must take a placement test call “COMPASS Test” and base on the test score, I will be place in ESL or English classes according to my test score. Study abroad is very costly, so every penny count, I do not want to waste my parent’s hard-earned-money. On my opinion, TOEFL is a waste of money.
- Why you want to change your subject of study (Major)?
I quit after studied 1 semester in architect at Van Lang University, because I knew I chose the wrong major. Architecture was absolutely not for me. I studied and took the Entrance Test, but FAILED 2 times. Now study abroad begin at community college is my only choice.
