Đầu thư cháu chúc chú và gia đình luôn dồi dào sức khỏe và vạn sự như ý.
Cháu năm nay 27 tuổi, cách đây hơn 2 năm cháu quen 1 người Mỹ, sau hơn một năm tìm hiểu, chúng cháu quyết định kết hôn vào tháng 3/2012, hồ sơ bảo lãnh được mở vào khoảng tháng 6/2012 và hiện nay tiến triển khá tốt. Nếu thuận lợi cháu có thể phỏng vấn visa vào mùa hè năm nay. Chồng cháu là người Mỹ, năm nay 29 tuổi, sau khi tốt nghiệp phổ thông, anh ấy tham gia military 5 năm, (cộng thêm 1,5 năm ở VN), vì vậy hiện giờ vẫn còn học ở college, hướng là sẽ học robotic engineering ở đại học. Còn cháu đang dạy ở một trường cao đẳng ở Cần Thơ ngành Tài chính được hơn 3 năm
Cháu xin sơ lược thông tin của mình như sau:
- Nickname: Thuy Nguyen
- Dự kiến sẽ định cư ở San Diego/ California
- Sang Mỹ theo diện kết hôn
- Tốt nghiệp Đại học Cần Thơ năm 2008, chuyên ngành Kế toán tổng hợp, loại Khá
- Học lực
o THPT: lớp 9: 9,1 lớp 10: 7,8 lớp 11: 8,3 lớp 12: 8,1
o Đại học: 3,17 (theo thang điểm 4) (cháu sẽ kèm theo transcript)
o Bằng đại học chuyên ngành Kế toán tổng hợp trường ĐH Cần Thơ
ANH NGỮ: IELTS 6.0 (cháu thi cách đây 2 năm) trong đó Speaking 6.5, ba kỹ năng còn lại 5.5
- Nghe nói: tốt
- Đọc: khá tốt
- Viết: còn yếu
Cháu đang tự luyện Ielts ở nhà thông qua sách và Internet, cháu thấy sau 3 tháng nửa nếu thi có thể tăng lên 6.5 hoặc 7.0
Cháu xin hỏi chú Vha08 một số vấn đề sau:
Nguyện vọng của cháu khi qua Mỹ:
- Một là, học thạc sĩ ngành Tài chính, hoặc kế toán , sau đó xin về làm 1 trường cao đẳng hoặc đại học (cháu thấy mình hợp với đi dạy nhưng chắc qua bên đó thì cháu hy vọng xin được assistant)
- Hai là, học các môn bổ sung lấy bằng kế toán ở Mỹ, và học thêm CPA, rồi đi làm (cháu nghe nói lấy CPA cũng không dễ nhưng cháu sẽ cố gắng)
Chú thấy cháu nên nên chọn cái nào khả quan hơn? Hoặc nhờ chú chỉ dùm cháu một hướng khác.
Cháu đọc nhiều bài viết của chú và thấy bảng điểm ở ĐH Việt Nam có thể quy đổi được, vậy cái này cháu nên làm trước ở VN hay qua Mỹ mới làm được ạ?
Ở San Diego cháu biết có 3 trường sau: University of California, San Diego, San Diego State University, Universtity of San Diego. Chú thấy cháu nên chọn trường nào học để sau khi ra trường dễ kiếm việc làm nhất ạ?
Nếu cháu học như vậy học phí cháu trả là của mức du học sinh, in-state hay out of state ạ? (Vì cháu thấy học phí chênh lệnh khá nhiều)
Trường hợp của cháu không phải học Đại học, vậy cháu có xin được hỗ trợ nào của Chính phủ không? Chồng cháu đã đi lính nên được Nhà nước lo tiền học và trợ cấp $1100/ tháng.

1 - Cháu sẽ qua Mỹ theo diện kết hôn thì không cần phải thi IELTS hay TOEFL làm gì

2 - Cháu là người phối ngẫu (Spouse) của cưu quân nhân Mỹ, thì cháu có thể học ở bất cứ tiểu bang nào và sẽ được hưởng mức học phí theo in-state tuition - Cháu đã có bang kế toán rồi thì chỉ học thêm mấy lớp về "Federal taxation" ở community college hay các công ty thuế như: Turbo tax hay H& R Block là có thể đi làm về kế toán được rồi

3 - Trong lúc đi làm, cháu học them vài lớp về kế toán cao hơn ở đại học cho đủ số tín chỉ yêu cầu của "California Board of Accountancy" cháu vào đây xem các yêu cầu của tiểu bang CA

Nhân tiện đây chú vha cho con hỏi bảo lãnh vợ chồng được miễn anh văn như chú đề cập ở trên. Vậy còn diện thẻ xanh được bảo lãnh sang theo diện f1, f2, f3, f4 thì sao hả chú, có được miễn ko hay vẫn thi bình thường như international student.

Chào chú vha08,
Hôm trước chú đã tư vấn cháu học thêm mấy lớp về Federal Taxation, cháu đã viết thư hỏi trường University of California, San Diego (UCSD), thì trường chấp nhận bảng điểm của cháu. Cháu xin hỏi nếu học 2 lớp của trường này trong học kỳ tới thì cháu nộp đơn cho FAFSA được không chú?

Hi Thuy,
Are you interested in enrolling in these two classes during the summer? If so, please find information about UCSD’s summer classes online here:http://summersession.ucsd.edu/. They have information about how to enroll and fees on their website. Please note that we will not offer MGT134 during the summer, but we will offer MGT135 during session 1.

If you want to enroll in MGT135 and MGT134 during the regular school year but you are not a UCSD student, then you have the option of enrolling through the Concurrent Enrollment Program offered by UCSD Extension. The Concurrent Enrollment Program allows non-UCSD students to enroll in UCSD classes. You would need to contact them to find out more details about the program: http://extension.ucsd.edu/. You may also want to consider taking UCSD Extension classes.

There are prerequisites for both classes, so you would need my help enrolling in both courses. Once you are ready to enroll, I would need to see that you have satisfied the prerequisites before I can allow you to enroll. To do this, you can send me a screen shot or electronic copy of your academic history (in English). You can find the prerequisites listed in the course descriptions found on our website: http://rady.ucsd.edu/undergrad/ .

Cháu qua Mỹ được gần 1 tháng. Cháu ở nhà mẹ chồng ở Iowa, và mới về San Diego được mấy ngày. Chú cho cháu hỏi:
Nếu cháu học các lớp về "Federal Taxation" thì cháu có cần giám định bảng điểm ĐH ở VN không?
Nếu có thì cháu nên chọn loại nào? (Cháu vào trang web này www.wes.org như chú chỉ và bảng điểm của cháu, cháu đã dịch bằng tiếng anh ở VN rồi). (Cháu xin phép được copy lại từ trnag web này)
