Thông thường, National Visa Center chỉ có một vài mẫu thư mà họ dùng để trả lời những người viết email cho họ, để yêu cầu bổ sung giấy tờ hay để hẹn ngày phỏng vấn.
Tôi xin dịch những thư đó để giúp các bạn hiểu nếu các bạn gặp những thư đó.
Trong bài đầu tiên này, tôi xin đăng và dịch mẫu thư sau đây:

Please be advised that, as of April 4th, 2008, our office revised our guidelines for communication between the National Visa Center and the public. We are now required to verify case specific information each time we receive an inquiry.
According to U.S. law, the National Visa Center is only permitted to discuss details of a visa case with authorized representatives and when provided with all of the following information:
* NVC case number or CIS receipt number
* Petitioner's name and date of birth
* Beneficiary's name and date of birth
* Your full name
If you are the legal representative, and your G-28, Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Representative, is not on file at the NVC, please include a copy of your signed G-28 showing that you are the legal representative as well as the following information:
* NVC case number or CIS receipt number
* Petitioner's name and date of birth or Beneficiary's name and date of birth
* Attorney's law firm name
* Attorney's law firm address
* Your full name
If you are corresponding regarding an I-140 petition you must provide the following information:
* NVC case number or CIS receipt number
* Name of the petitioning company
* Beneficiary's name and date of birth
* Your full name
If you are the petitioner, principal applicant or legal representative, please notify the National Visa Center with any changes to your mailing address, email address or phone numbers.
Please include this required information on all future inquiries directed to the NVC. If this information has not been submitted with your inquiry it will be requested.

National Visa Center đã nhận được thư của bạn.
Xin chú ý là kể từ ngày 4 tháng 4 năm 2008, văn phòng của chúng tôi đã duyệt xét hướng dẫn về thông tin liên lạc giữa National Visa Center và công chúng. Bây giờ, chúng tôi buộc phải kiểm tra thông tin về hồ sơ mỗi khi chúng tôi nhận được thư hỏi.
Theo luật Hoa Kỳ, National Visa Center chỉ được phép thảo luận chi tiết về một hồ sơ với những người đại diện được cho phép và khi có tất cả những thông tin sau đây:

- Số hồ sơ của National Visa Center hay số biên nhận của USCIS.
- Tên họ và ngày sanh của người bảo lãnh cùng tên họ và ngày sanh của người được bảo lãnh.
- Tên văn phòng luât sư.
- Địa chỉ văn phòng luật sư,
- Tên họ của bạn.
Nếu bạn viết thư liên quan đến đơn bảo lãnh I-140, bạn phải cung cấp những thông tin sau đây:
- Số hồ sơ của National Visa Center hay số biên nhận của USCIS.
- Tên của cơ quan bảo lãnh.
- Tên họ và ngày sanh của người được bảo lãnh.
- Tên họ của bạn.
Nếu bạn là người bảo lãnh, đương đơn chính hay người đại diện hợp pháp, xin thông báo cho National Visa Center biết tất cả những thay đổi lien quan đến địa chỉ liên lạc thư từ, địa chỉ email và số điện thoại.
Xin kèm theo những thông tin yêu cầu trong mọi thư từ trong tương lai với NVC. Nếu bạn không nộp những thông tin này với thư của bạn, NVC sẽ yêu cầu những thông tin này.
Xin đừng trả lời thư này.
