* * * * * FEDERAL DIRECT LOAN(S) * * * * *
You have been offered a Federal Direct loan(s). You will need to decide if you would like to borrow through this program. If you decide to apply for this loan, you will need to complete three steps: Entrance counseling, Direct Loan Master Promissory Note and request your Direct Loan dollar amount. Detailed information on the steps necessary to complete the loan acceptance process are found at accepting student loans on the Financial Aid and Scholarship website.
You must be registered for and complete a minimum of 6 aid eligible credit hours each term of the loan period. You must also be registered for at least 6 aid eligible credits at the time your loan is disbursed at Normandale. It is your responsibility to complete the above three steps in order to receive the loan(s) offered.
The academic year loan period is August 25, 2014 - May 15, 2015. Determine the amount you want to borrow for the academic year. If you are attending both fall and spring term, you should select either the "Total loan amount for the loan period" or "Reduced amount for the loan period". The total amount borrowed will be split equally and disbursed in TWO separate payments, half disbursed fall term and half disbursed spring term.
If you are borrowing a loan for only one term the total amount borrowed will be split equally and disbursed in two separate payments, the first half at the beginning of the term and the second half at the midpoint of the term. When you borrow a loan for just one term and it is your last term at Normandale, your loan will be subject to proration and may be substantially less than what you were awarded and what you requested.
All first time direct loan borrowers who have never had prior college attendance will be subject to a 30-day delay before their student loan can be disbursed. The 30-day delay affects only the first loan disbursement.

* * * * * TOTAL FEDERAL STUDENT LOAN INDEBTEDNESS (TO DATE) * * * * *
According to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) the amounts below are the total federal student loan debt that you have accumulated to date at all colleges/universities attended. We encourage you to monitor your indebtedness frequently at NSLDS.ed.gov. You can use this information in the Federal Student Aid Loan Repayment Calculator at studentaid.ed.gov.
* * * FINANCIAL AID SATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PROGRESS POLICY * * *
All students must be making satisfactory progress, as defined by the College, towards their degree at Normandale. Progress is reviewed after EACH term, including summer. Please review the complete Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy in the General Information and Policies section of our website.
