Sở di trú chưa chấp thuận đơn bảo lãnh của bạn.
Trong năm mà sở di trú chấp thuận, thì sở di trú sẽ gởi mẫu I-797 thông báo approval date cho NBL. Trong năm đó trung tâm visa Mỹ (NVC) sẽ tiếp nhận hồ sơ từ sở di trú chuyển qua. NVC sẽ thư cho NĐBL thông báo ngày ưu tiên/your priority date và thông báo case number: HCM-năm chấp thuận-xxx-xxx. Ví dụ case number HCM2010-xxx-xxx được chấp thuận năm 2010.
Việc chấp thuận tùy theo mỗi hồ sơ. Việc có ngày chấp thuận muộn sẽ tốt cho tính tuổi CSPA. Tuổi CSPA = Tuổi hiện tại + Priority date - Approval date.
Việc chấp thuận 1 hồ sơ, tức là chính thức công nhận người nộp đơn đủ điều kiện bảo lãnh.
Sau chấp thuận sở di trú chuyển hồ sơ cho NVC giải quyết visa định cư.

Email này NVC trả lời rằng hồ sơ bạn chưa đến lượt vì ngày Priority Date của bạn tới tận 07May2003 lận, mà hiện tại họ mới giải quyết đến 01/10/2001. Nên bạn vui lòng chờ đợi khi nào đến lượt bạn sẽ được thông báo.
Hồ sơ gia đình bạn không có vấn đề gì cả hãy yên tâm nhé, vì NVC làm việc rất bài bản nếu thiếu hoặc không đầy đủ hay có vấn đề gì thì họ sẽ thông báo ngay cho NBL và cả gia đình bạn nữa.

Hồ sơ sẽ được chuyển về Lãnh sự quán Mỹ tại Việt Nam sau khi hoàn tất/completed ít nhất 6-8 tuần, thời gian có thể lâu hơn (điều này không chắc chắn cho tất cả hồ sơ).
