cháu đã làm theo chú chỉ dẫn nhưng vừa xong cai phần parent income tax thì nó lại có tiếp 1 phần là Student tax information đó chú.......... cái này nghĩa là sao ah.... và cháu phải làm tiếp như thế nào vì cháu chưa làm gì để có income cả.... cả năm vừa rồi chỉ đi học ESL thôi ah........

Có phải cháu xin FASA thì phải có bằng high school mới đc phải ko ạ ?
Nếu cháu ko có bằng high school thì phải đi thi lấy GED phải ko ạ ?

chú ơi. cháu gặp phải 1 số vấn đề rồi. Vấn đề là cháu có làm PIN Application nhưng ở mục : What is your last name? cháu ko đọc kĩ nên điền last name rồi bao gồm lun middle name. tới câu What is your middle name initial? cháu lại tiếp tuc điền chữ cái đầu của middle name. giờ thằng fafsa nó correction cháu là PIN Information ko trùng với Information với thằng SSA nên nó ko cho cháu sử dụng pin để LOg In vào FAFSA nữa. but cháu đã check fix lại và update PIN personal information nhưng nó vẫn ko cho cháu sử dụng pin và cứ correction cháu.... giờ cháu phải làm sao chú... nó cứ kêu cháu contact với SSA nhưng là tại cháu điền sai mà.... chú help cháu giúp với... lúc đó xớn xác ko đọc kĩ giờ phiền phức lắm lun..... cám ơn chú nhiều

Nếu cháu tốt nghiệp THPT rồi thì ghi tên trường THPT ở Việt Nam và chọn "Foreign" country. Chưa tốt nghiệp THPT thì bỏ qua phần high school. Không cần phải học GED

Xin FAFSA thì cháu vào www.fafsa.gov mà xin, hỏi counselor làm cái quái gì. Cho hay không FAFSA sẽ cho cháu biết ngay sau khi điền xong đơn. Counselor nhiều đứa nó dốt lắm.

cháu vào check financial aid status tren wed cua trường thì thấy nó ghi thế này "Below is a list of all the items we received from you and/or still need to complete your application. Cha mẹ và cháu nếu năm 2011 vừa rồi có khai thuế thì sẽ có Tax transcript, còn không có khai thuế thì làm gì có tax transcript. Thường thì trường sẽ có 1 mẫu đơn để cháu điền xác nhận cha mẹ /cháu không có khai thuế. Cháu lên phòng financial aid của trường hỏi họ mẫu đơn này, hoặc họ sẽ hướng dẫn cho cháu phải làm sao.

IMPORTANT FINANCIAL AID CHANGES

Ability to Benefit (ATB).Students without a high school diploma or its equivalent are ineligible for Title IV funds.
Minimum Pell Grant. Students will need to qualify for the minimum of 10% of the maximum amount of Pell Grant to receive any 2012-2013 Pell Grant funds. Those who qualify for less than 10% will not receive Pell Grant funds.
Lifetime Pell Grant Limit.12 semesters of full time equivalent semesters from the date that the student began receiving Pell Grant.
Federal Work Study (FWS) and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG). FWS FY2012 reduced by $1.8 million and FSEOG reduced by $1.4 million.
Federal Stafford/Direct Loan Program. Beginning July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2014, subsidized loans originated during this period will not have a subsidized grace period. The grace period will begin to accrue interest from the date that the student has left a college/university.
Automatic-Zero EFC. Adjusted gross income will be set at $23,000 versus the current $30,000. Fewer students will meet the automatic-zero Expected Family Contribution threshold. These students will be eligible for fewer Title IV dollars; especially the need-based student financial assistance which is the primary student financial aid for the Coast District.
Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGFW). The Board of Governors Fee Waiver will be available for those AB540 students who qualify under the specific guidelines for the waiver. AB540 students will have access to the BOGFW beginning January 1, 2013, to waive enrollment fees for the Spring 2013 Semester. The California Community College Chancellor’s Office is working on application and implementation guidelines.
Cal Grant. AB540 students will be eligible to apply for the various Cal Grant programs beginning January 1, 2013. The California Student Aid Commission is working on a California application for those students who are undocumented for release and testing on or about April 2, 2012.

Dạ chú vha08 cho cháu hỏi khi cháu lấy lớp có nên lấy lớp online ko ạ?
Vì năm nay cháu mới vô mà là học sinh mới nên ko có lấy lớp kịp so với trình độ cháu bị lấy gần hết rồi cháu chỉ lấy đc có vài lớp.
Nên cháu muốn hỏi cháu lấy lớp online cho đủ 12unit vậy có đc ko ?

chu oi cho chau hoi. cai irs tax transcript mà trường yêu cầu do chu. chau vo irs.gov thi no de 2 loai irs account va irs return.. vay cai nao can phai order de nop cho truong vay chu... con check tren financial aid status thi no chi de chung chung la irs tax transcript nen ko con biet phai can cai nao... con cam on chu nhieu.

Nếu cha mẹ cháu có khai thuế năm 2011, thì cháu vào FAFSA "Make a Correction" tới phần income của cha mẹ, thì chọn "Retrieve IRS file" (hay tưong tự" điền số PIN của cha mẹ cháu lúc khai thuế. Xong

CÒn cháu muốn IRS gởi transcript về điền mẫu đơn rồi gởi cho IRS

Cha mẹ không có đi làm và không khai thuế 2011 thì trừong có mẫu đơn cho cháu điền

con cám ơn chú nhiều... chú ơi... hôm nay con có lên trường thì nó có hỏi cái High Shcool Diploma của con.. lúc con điền đơn xin nhập học thì ghi có nhưng trong cai FAFSA Application của con thì con xớn xác sao ghi ko có nên trường nó ko xác nhận và nó bảo là vào FAFSA sửa lại phần đó.. hiện tại FAFSA của con nó báo là "Your application was processed successfully. " vậy bây giờ con vào sửa lại thì có dc ko chú...... chú thông cảm cho con nha tại vì lần đầu con làm FAFSA nên sai tùm lum hết... cám ơn chú

Chú VHA08 cho cháu hỏi nhanh một câu:
Cháu mới nộp hồ sơ xin chuyển diện, và hiện nay cháu đang chờ đi lấy dấu vân tay, và cháu chưa có SSN, vậy cháu có thể apply FA từ bây giờ không ạ? Nếu được thì chú hướng dẫn cháu.

Còn về định hướng nghành học và một số câu hỏi liên quan đến FA thì cháu xin hỏi trong cùng một bài sau ạ.

Theo như hướng dẫn trên trang web của fafsa thì cháu nhập 666 vào đầu ô điền SSN và cháu được chuyển sang Start Application.

Cháu đang ở bước Student Demographic Information, cháu điền thông tin đầy đủ và khi ấn Next thì hiện ra lỗi sau:

"The following error(s) have occurred:
You have entered an invalid response for "Student's State of Legal Residence." Delete the response you entered and then select the field to see valid responses for this question."

Ở dòng: What is your state of legal residence?
Cháu chọn Georgia.

Ở dòng: Did you become a legal resident of Georgia before January 1, 2007?
Cháu chọn No

Ở dòng: Did you become a legal resident of Georgia before January 1, 2007?
Cháu điền 02/2012

Sau khi thấy lỗi cháu đọc tip bên cạnh thì thấy rằng phải cư trú hơn 05 năm mới được tính là legal resident nên cháu chọn lại là Foreign Country nhưng vẫn bị lỗi như trên. Cháu cũng thử chọn lại Georgia và Yes nhưng cũng vẫn lỗi.

Có phải là do cháu chưa có SSN nên xảy ra lỗi này không ạ?

Chờ có thẻ xanh và SSN rồi hãy điền FAFSA. Chưa hoàn tất thủ tục "Adjustment of Status" thì làm sao xin FAFSA đựơc.
